About Miguel Garrido

I'm a self-taught developer who started making websites before CSS existed. Now I work and teach the MERN stack. I am fascinated by user interfaces.

Working as an analyst taught me to think beyond code to how users actually interact with systems.

Originally from Valparaíso, Chile, I now work remotely from Barcelona. When I'm not coding, I'm working on organic farming or building projects.

I love working with people and watching them succeed, whether I'm helping clients achieve their goals or mentoring developers as they grow.

How I Work

My approach is to become an extension of your team, not just another contractor.

Here's how I make that happen:

Discovery & Integration

  • I start with thorough discovery—calls, detailed questions, and validation to understand your goals
  • I focus on understanding your workflow and adapting to your existing processes
  • I take detailed notes and seek validation to ensure we're completely aligned

Communication & Updates

  • We establish communication rhythms that suit your project needs
  • We maintain transparency through regular updates and quick feedback loops
  • We stay connected via your preferred channels—calls, Slack, meetings

Tools & Process

  • Working with industry-standard tools, testing frameworks, and project management platforms
  • Enhancing development processes when beneficial to your workflow
  • Delivering organized, transparent, and well-documented results
